She was convicted of "providing false information to government officials", got a suspended sentence and was prohibited from running for office for 2 years in a plea deal.
Part of the reason is that it was an individual effort that occurred over four years and were for primaries, not general elections. I tend to agree they should have thrown the book at her, but this is not a good example of "election fraud" that Republicans have been screaming about and demanding ID for. In this case, Ms Ayala had the ID to vote in the places she voted from. How would the law have changed this?

Actually she did not. Read the article again. When questioned she
fabricated evidence. Had she been required to show ID when she voted,
she would not have been able to vote.

The questions still remain: Why did she do it

Because she's a crook?

and why did the judge give her a lighter sentence? That's where the real story lies that isn't explained.

I started a Wiki on my local computer NOT an Internet Wiki that's a sort
of flow chart of the Liberal lies and so I could to try to piece
together what the flow of lies needs to be to win an election when you
rely on Democrat voters.... The Wiki platform seems perfect for it
since it's very social oriented, the lies can intertwine and flow
through the Wiki and connect and die and live on in Liberalism and the
Wiki will never really die since *Liberalism is a NEVER ENDING LIE* .

At some point I suppose it could be transfered to the Internet and go
live...

It may be an interesting project that I can never complete.

Democrats have no use for you....

That makes this person wealthy with 19 votes, sort of a BANK ROBBER.

Really they hate unborn babied and children because they can't vote, and
old people they want to keep them under their thumb as voters or kill
them... with death panels.

Republicans are the Liberals real and mortal enemy, and the list goes
on. Christians are the enemy since they live by principals and don't
sell their vote to Democrats, and the list goes on.... the only people
they hate are those that don't vote Democrat, they even give pedophiles
and liars and Liberals that commit espionage crimes against the people
of the United States.
